The IKONICS Photo Machining Process (PMP) combines an ultraviolet, light-sensitive photoresist with abrasive etching to achieve a variety of precisely machined parts simply, quickly and inexpensively. The fundamental technique of exposing and developing a photoresist film, and etching with the appropriate abrasive. The area of material removal is controlled by unique photoresist technology, which gives the process a high level of precision and accuracy.

While Photoresist Machining does not entirely displace the need for conventional machining, it is an excellent alternative in a wide range of applications.
